Over 70's tournament
Senior Soccer is booming!
40 years ago the over 70's Senior Soccer league played their first senior game, which was then for the over 35's. They played at Will Rogers State Park in the Palisades, and Rod Stewart played, and so did one or more of his Faces band. Many of the original players have stuck together and recently 28 of them have formed 2 teams of over 75’s for the world championship trophy. There are 7 teams of over 70's who play regularly in the Palm Springs midweek tournament. They are planning to have more than 70 events, in the Coachella Valley, all mid-week, and would like to spread the word to anybody interesting in playing Senior Soccer. The local paper “the Desert Sun" published front-page photos and about 1 page of text inside. If you search "alive and kicking", senior soccer games on the papers web site then you can read the article and view a movie as well of the guys in action. • Team will forfeit the points if they allow players without an ID card to play.

Since 1970, the Unicorns have called the Huntington Beach area home and continue to be one of the prominent rugby clubs in Southern California. HB Rugby welcomes players of all ages, experience,s and skill levels. The club fields two competitive squads for game day, so there is always an opportunity to participate.
