The Beatunes

Four of SoCal’s top musicians come together to honor and faithfully play the timeless and spirit-lifting music of The Beatles. From the early Fab Four days to the final recordings of “Abbey Road,” The Beatunes continue to increase their repertoire and precision; always researching techniques and technology for new ways to bring more realism to the sound. No pre-recorded tracks. Every sound you hear at a Beatunes concert is played live by the band. The Beatunes consist of four lead singers: co-founding members Berington Van Campen (guitars) and Dale LaDuke (guitar & keyboards), veteran member and drummer-extraordinaire Matt Garret, and "Just Imagine" star Tim Piper on bass. 4th July 5:00-8:00 pm
The MacMammals

The MacMammals are an eclectic Celtic, British Isles, and North American acoustic music experience. This Ventura County-based acoustic duo presents a musical stew of sounds seasoned with a touch of bluegrass and salted with some songs of the sea (argh!).   From warm ballads to rousing sea shanties, their music weaves historical tales with folklore and humor. Their unique selection of distinctive and seldom heard songs augments The MacMammals experience and delights listeners. The "Macs" consist of Carol Schryver and Ron Bloom.  They have been performing together since 2004, each bringing unique backgrounds to their duo.  Carol has performed Celtic and Appalachian music for over twenty years. Her sheer, genuine, and enchanting contralto vocals are backed with guitar and, on occasion, accordion. Ron performs on acoustic guitar, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, and lends warm harmonies.  Backing The MacMammals will be upright bassist Paul Marshall. Paul’s warm and inventive bass licks are stirred into the pot, adding icing to The MacMammals cake.  His bio includes singing/songwriting, and film credits; band member with "Strawberry Alarm Clock,"
"I See Hawks in LA," and more. The MacMammals have performed at numerous Southern California venues, as well as part of the Celtic Colours International Festival in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and at the Middlewich Folk Festival in England. They have recently released their second CD, “Kernevin,” a Gaelic word meaning “a place where you intuitively feel you belong.” Come find your Kernevin tonight at The Coffee Gallery Backstage!
Celebrate July 4th with The Macs! We're making a post-pandemic encore appearance at the Huntington Lake Resort Marina with a romantic evening out on the deck overlooking beautiful Huntington Lake. We will present new songs that appear on our new second CD, "Kernevin."
